Founder & CEO
Hideo Yamamoto has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, developing and implementing new business models from the perspectives of both energy users and energy companies.
Starting his career in B2B energy solutions, he later worked as a consultant, supporting clients in energy markets and regulation, new business development, and business transformation. In recent years, he has focused on developing new business models that connect energy users with energy markets, including renewable energy, PPAs, distributed energy resources (DER), battery storage, and demand-side flexibility (DSF).
He has also closely followed developments in European energy markets for many years, sharing insights and perspectives through comparative analysis of Europe and Japan.
In October 2026, he founded DIVE COMPASS Inc.
As a strategic dialogue partner, DIVE COMPASS connects global energy market developments with the realities of the Japanese market, working together with companies to identify, shape, and realize new business opportunities.
